Dubai: India’s star all-rounder Hardik Pandya performed exceptionally against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2022. Because of this, he jumped eight places to reach a career-best fifth position in the latest ICC T20 All Rounder Rankings released on Wednesday. Hardik scored an unbeaten 33 off just 17 balls with three wickets for 25 runs as India registered a thrilling five-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan in their opening match of the Asia Cup on Sunday.
In the bowling rankings, Rashid Khan has gained two places to move up to the third position (708 points). Leg spinners Adil Rashid and Adam Zampa are at number four and fifth.
Left-arm spinner Tabrez Shamsi (716) sits a notch above Rashid, although Josh Hazlewood (792) continues to top the list with points. Rashid’s compatriot Mujeeb ur Rahman has moved up seven places to the top-10 in the rankings (660).
Bhuvneshwar Kumar (661) is currently ranked eighth, whose brilliant 4/26 bowling against Pakistan helped India win.
There has been no significant change in the T20 batting top-10 rankings, although Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan (796) has moved up to second place after Babar Azam (810) with points. Hazratullah Zazai of Afghanistan has gained three places due to his innings of 23 (26) and 37 (28). His teammate Rahmanullah Gurbaz has gained five places to reach 29th position.
Ben Stokes has moved up all three Test ranking lists due to his match-winning role in England’s win over South Africa. Taking a total of four wickets including a century, Stokes climbed nine places in the batting rankings to be 18th (668), five places to 38th in the bowling rankings (540) and fifth in the all-rounders (360). Ravindra Jadeja (384) continues to top the Test all-rounder list.
