Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar arrived here on a three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates. During this, he will hold talks with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed.
Dubai: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar arrived here on Wednesday on a three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). In this visit, he will hold talks with his Gulf counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed and review the overall strategic partnership between the two countries. Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi said, ‘External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar arrived in UAE. Abdullah Mohamed Al Baloqi, Assistant Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in Dubai, received him along with Ambassador Sanjay Sudhir and Dr. Aman Puri.
Jaishankar will review the 14th India-UAE Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) and the third India-UAE Strategic Dialogue with his counterpart Sheikh Abdullah during his stay in the UAE. The Ministry of External Affairs said on Monday that during these meetings, the two ministers would get an opportunity to review the entire spectrum of the overall strategic relationship between India and the UAE and discuss regional and global developments. It said that during his visit, Jaishankar will also meet other dignitaries of the UAE.
According to the statement, India and the UAE have had regular dialogue at a high level in the year 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Abu Dhabi on 28 June 2022 and met the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Earlier, both the leaders participated in the summit meeting through digital medium on 18 February. During this the Composite Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) was signed and the vision statement was adopted. Both the leaders also participated in the I2U2 summit on July 14 through digital medium.

The External Affairs Minister visited the site of the Abu Dhabi temple and also installed a brick here. Also appreciated the efforts of all Indians in the construction of this iconic temple, a symbol of peace, tolerance and harmony. The temple will be built on 55,000 square meters of land. It will be hand sculpted by Indian artisans. This will be the first traditional Hindu temple in the Middle East.
