Bhilai: A vicious resident of Bhiwandi in Thane district of Maharashtra duped a fruit trader of Supela worth Rs 2 lakh 85 thousand in the name of selling mangoes. The accused did not send the mango consignment after taking Rs. When the victim fruit trader asked for the money back from the accused, initially he kept avoiding and later switched off the phone. Money transferred from UPI: Supela Police said that “On the complaint of Ajay Kesharwani, resident of Bharat Mata Chowk Krishna Nagar Supela, an FIR has been registered against accused Akhilesh Jaiswal, resident of Bhiwandi, Maharashtra. The complainant has a fruit shop in Laxmi Nagar.
The complainant The accused had approached the accused for ordering mangoes in July 2022. After placing an order for 400 carats of mangoes, the accused first asked for Rs 40,000 to buy carats. The complainant had on 26 July 2022 from his father Hiralal Kesharwani’s UPI for 38 thousand more Transferred two thousand rupees from his account to the accused.After this the accused took photo of mango and sent it to the complainant.fraud case increased in Bhilai
Fraud of Rs 2 lakh in the name of mango delivery: The next day the accused said that the fruit cart is about to leave from here. So send the full amount of mango to him. On this, the complainant sent two lakh 45 thousand rupees more to the account of the accused.
When the mango consignment did not arrive till three days after sending the money, the fruit trader contacted the accused, then the accused said that the mango which he had loaded in the truck got spoiled by getting wet in the rain. So he has sold it to some other trader at a lower price. Saying this the accused promised to return the money.
When the money was not returned, the victim businessman called on the number of the accused. But the accused did not pick up the phone and switched off the phone. After this the complainant complained to Supela police station. After investigation, an FIR has been initiated against the accused. Supela police have registered a case against the accused under the section of cheating.
