New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate reached the Supreme Court against the bail of former Maharashtra minister Anil Deshmukh. A hearing on this is possible at two o’clock. The Mumbai High Court had granted bail to Anil Deshmukh.

Deshmukh had defended himself in his bail plea. The senior Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader also claimed that all the allegations leveled against him were based only on the “whims and fancies” of the investigating agencies, which also questioned those statements. On the basis of which the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made this entire case.

Significantly, the 73-year-old NCP leader was arrested in November 2021 as part of the money laundering probe being carried out by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He is currently lodged in Arthur Road Jail. The Bombay High Court on Tuesday granted him bail in a money laundering case registered by the ED but also issued a stay order till October 13, rendering the agency unable to appeal against the verdict. At the same time, the CBI is also investigating a corruption case against Dekhmukh.

Dekhmukh through his lawyers Aniket Nikam and Inderpal Singh in the corruption case, in the special CBI court, Judge S. The bail application was made before H. Gwalani. In the application, Deshmukh claimed that the case registered against him is based on the whims and fantasies of the investigating agency.

According to the application, the statement on which the entire CBI case is based is completely suspicious and raises serious questions on the credibility of all those people. According to the application, the entire case is based on the statements of Param Bir Singh and corrupt policeman Sachin Waje, against whom all solid evidence is available that he was the only one involved in illegally extorting money from the bar owners.

Deshmukh’s bail application claimed, “It is a matter of grave concern that Sachin Waje, who remained suspended for years, was reinstated and entrusted with important assignments by the then Commissioner of Police.” It said, “The two colluded with each other and in order to protect themselves, blamed the applicant (Deshmukh). Absolutely bogus statements were given which have no credibility and no value as evidence.
