Kovid 19: 2424 New Cases Of Infection In The Country, Three People Died


2,424 new cases of Kovid-19 have been reported in the country. At the same time, the death toll has increased to 5,28,814 due to the loss of 15 more patients.

New Delhi: With the arrival of 2,424 new cases of Kovid-19 in India, the total number of infection cases has increased to 4,46,14,437 while the number of patients under treatment has come down to 28,079. According to the updated data of the Union Health Ministry till 8 am on Monday, the death toll has increased to 5,28,814 due to the loss of 15 more patients.

In this, 12 cases have been included by Kerala in the list of people who lost their lives due to corona virus infection. According to the data, the number of patients under treatment for corona virus is 0.06 percent of the total cases of infection, while the national recovery rate from Kovid-19 has increased to 98.75 percent. In the last 24 hours, a decrease of 514 cases has been registered in the number of patients under treatment.

According to the ministry, the daily rate of infection was 2.65 percent while the weekly infection rate was recorded at 1.27 percent. The number of people who have recovered from this disease has increased to 4,40,57,544 while the death rate was recorded at 1.19 percent. Under the nationwide anti-COVID-19 vaccination campaign, 218.99 crore doses have been given so far.

Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of corona virus infected in the country had exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020, 30 lakh and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020 and 90 lakh on 20 November.

On December 19, 2020, these cases had exceeded one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it had crossed 30 million. On January 25 this year, the cases of infection had crossed four crores. In the last 24 hours, three people have died due to infection in the country, out of which two are from Kerala and one from West Bengal.
