Chief Minister Science Talent Examination Will Be Held On November 27, Students Should Register Soon

The Chief Minister’s Science Talent Examination will be organized by the Directorate of Education, Delhi on November 27. In this examination, the students of class IX studying in the government school of Delhi will take part. A merit list will be issued for the better performing students in the examination, who will be given a scholarship of Rs 5000.

New Delhi: There is good news for the students of class 9th studying in government schools of Delhi. They can win a scholarship of 5 thousand by getting a good rank in the Chief Minister’s Science Talent Examination. This exam will be conducted on November 27. In this regard, the Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi has issued a circular. The Directorate has said in its circular that “Chief Minister Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha” is being organized for the purpose of identifying and bringing forward the talent among the 9th students.

Merit list of 1000 students successful in this examination will be issued. Scholarship of Rs 5000 will be given to the students appearing in the merit list. Zareen Taj, Additional Director, Directorate of Education said that the students of Government, Aided, NDMC, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya are eligible to take part in this examination. Also, students who have secured 60 percent marks in class 8 in the session 2021-2022 can also apply for the exam. However, there will be a relaxation of 5 percent in marks for the students belonging to SC/ST and PH category.

Here is the pattern of written exam: Two papers will be conducted for Chief Minister Vigyan Pratibha Exam. There will be 100 questions in both the papers whose marks are also 100. The first paper will be of Mental Aptitude Test, the second will be of Educational Aptitude Test. The qualifying marks for SC, ST, Physical Handicap category candidates in this exam is 32 percent in each paper and for General, OBC and EWS categories , 40 percent marks in each paper is required. The students who will have such percentage of marks in both the papers will be selected for the scholarship. Whereas selected students will be given scholarship according to merit and according to quota.

How to Apply: Students who want to appear in this exam can contact their Head of School for help regarding application. School Heads can register the details of the students on the website of Directorate of Education www.edudel.nic.in with their school login id and password. Students can register till 30 October. After this, the Science Branch of the Education Department will allot the roll numbers and examination centers of the candidates on November 11. At the same time, the school head will take a print out of the admit card before November 25 and give its copy to the students.
