Bilaspur: Two lakh eleven thousand rupees were stolen from the bag of SECL personnel who reached Bilaspur from Korba. This incident has been carried out between Nehru Chowk to Mangala Chowk. There was a stir in the area due to heavy lifting in broad daylight.
Case of pilferage in Bilaspur: According to Civil Line Police “Deepka Tiwari, a resident of SECCL workshop worker living in Deepka Gevra Urja Nagar, Korba, on October 14, from UCO Bank Deepka, Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand from his wife Ranu Tiwari’s account and from ATM card After taking out 11 thousand rupees, keeping a total of 361000 rupees in the bag, boarded the bus from Pragati Nagar Chowk Deepka and left for Nehru Chowk Bilaspur.
After getting off the bus, he sat in the auto at Nehru Chowk at around 12.45 and reached the complex located at Mangala Chowk. To deposit the third installment of the shop there, he took out the amount from the bag and started counting. So his senses were blown away. There were only 1 lakh 50 thousand rupees in the bag. The remaining 2 lakh 11 thousand rupees were found missing. After which he went to the Civil Lines police station and lodged a report.
