In Hamirpur, BJP candidates are not decided in any assembly constituency, three bigwigs of Congress are almost in the electoral fray.

The nomination process for the Assembly Elections 2022 (Himachal Assembly Elections 2022) is starting from today. Congress can announce candidates for all assembly seats simultaneously. At the same time, BJP has not yet opened its trump cards. In Hamirpur district, BJP’s candidate is not fixed in even a single assembly constituency, while on the other hand, three bigwigs of Congress are in the fray. Read the full news to know what are the electoral equations in Hamirpur district.

Hamirpur: The date for the assembly elections 2022 has been announced. At the same time, political equations are entangled in Hamirpur district. In this district with 5 assembly constituencies, it has not yet been decided who will clash with whom in the political field. Here Congress candidates are fixed in three assembly constituencies, but BJP is in a state of confusion. In Barsar, Sujanpur and Nadaun assembly constituencies of Congress, the candidate is almost certain, but the BJP is also very confused in these assembly constituencies. This is the reason that so far it has not been decided in a single assembly constituency of Hamirpur district as to which political fanatic will be in the fray against whom.

Talking about Hamirpur and Bhoranj assembly constituencies, the present MLAs are from BJP, but it is not decided which candidate BJP will field here as well for ticket. Nothing can be said clearly about which candidates BJP will field in the five assembly constituencies of the district, while the Congress is in a state of confusion in 2 assembly constituencies. In this special report, ETV India will review the current political equations of the five assembly constituencies of Hamirpur district.(Ground Report of Hamirpur District)

In Hamirpur assembly constituency, the ticket fight between the leaders of both the parties heavy: Talking about the Hamirpur assembly constituency, here Narendra Thakur, son of Thakur Jagdev Chand, is an MLA on a BJP ticket. Some time ago, former MLA Urmil Thakur, sister-in-law of Narendra Thakur, has also left the Congress and joined the BJP. Here the speculations of changing the BJP ticket have also been made continuously. From the point of view of organization, the name of Himachal Pradesh Skill Development Corporation’s state coordinator Naveen Sharma is also going ahead. (Hamirpur Assembly Constituency)

At the same time, Ashish Sharma, a member of the State Gau Seva Commission, who belongs to the BJP, has also announced to contest the election as an independent candidate. Talking about the Congress, the situation is not favorable for the Congress here as well. For the Congress, like the BJP, not one but many leaders are in the fray for the party ticket. Former MLA Anita Verma, Kuldeep Pathania are experienced faces who are in the race for Congress party ticket. Here Sunil Sharma Bittu, senior vice president of Himachal Congress, close to Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, president of Himachal Congress election campaign committee, is being told in this race. At the same time, the names of Dr. Pushpendra Verma and Advocate Rohit Sharma are also in the race among the young faces. If independent candidates enter the fray here, then there is a challenge for both the parties.

BJP Congress in Bhoranj in confusion, situation same for both: Talking about Bhoranj Assembly Constituency, the current BJP MLA here is Kamlesh Kumari. Here in the path of Kamlesh Kumari, former MLA Anil Dhiman, who belongs to the BJP, remains a challenge. Late BJP leader ID Dhiman has been MLA from here for 6 times and after him his son Anil Dhiman was also elected MLA in the by-election. In the 2017 elections, BJP gave ticket to Kamlesh Kumari and now he is an MLA. Due to ticket cut, Anil Dhiman is rebelling against BJP and is preparing to contest elections there. Whether the ticket comes from the party or not. (BJP Bhoranj MLA Kamlesh Kumari)

The BJP has an umbrella rule in this seat for almost 32 years. Here 3 candidates of Congress are also in the political fray for party tickets. Suresh Kumar, a close aide of Himachal Congress election campaign committee president Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Himachal Congress spokesperson Prem Kaushal, as well as Dr. Ramesh Dogra are also fighting for the party ticket. Overall, there is a similar situation for the Congress and the BJP, both the parties have more than one leader in the race for the ticket and factionalism is also dominating here. Here the rebellion can prove to be a big challenge for the BJP.

BJP confused in Sujanpur, Congress candidate decided: The face of Congress is almost certain in Sujanpur, which was a hot seat in the 2017 assembly elections. Here once again the Congress party will field MLA Rajendra Rana. Last time former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal was defeated by Rajendra Rana. Despite the defeat, former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal is active in this seat for the last 5 years. Dhumal seems to be active but the situation has not been clarified by the party high command regarding his contesting elections.

The only option of the Congress party here is Rajendra Rana, who seems to be in a strong position, while the BJP worker is also confused due to the lack of face from the BJP side. If former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal is fielded here, there will be a tough fight between Congress and BJP, but if he is not in the fray, then he will be in a more comfortable position here. This seat has been dominated by Rajendra Rana for some time, he was elected as an independent MLA and after that is now representing this area from the Congress party.

Ticket confusion for BJP in Barsar too heavy, Congress candidates decided:The situation is the same for the BJP in the Barsar assembly constituency, where Congress MLA Inder Dutt Lakhan Pal is almost certain to contest the election once again on the Congress party ticket, while doubts remain about who will be in the fray from the BJP side. . Here, not one or two of the BJP, but four candidates are in the fray. BJP district president and former MLA Baldev Sharma, BJP state spokesperson Vinod Thakur and Kamal Nayan are in the race for tickets. It is also believed that party ticket can be given to his wife or brother from the family of late leader Rakesh Sharma Babli. In such a situation, it is too early to say who will be in the fray from BJP’s side here too. Congress has ruled this assembly constituency for the last 10 years. At present, the Congress is on the front foot to decide the candidate of the Congress, while the BJP is seen on the back foot here.

Congress candidate fixed in Nadaun, BJP in confusion The BJP is also in a state of confusion in this assembly constituency, where former MLA Vijay Agnihotri, vice chairman of HRTC, will get a ticket or whether the party will change its face.

Here Child Protection Commission chairperson Vandana Yogi is also in the race for the ticket, who is said to be close to the party as well as the RSS. Sometimes the BJP and sometimes the Congress have won this seat in the last few elections. Aam Aadmi Party leader Shanky Thukral is also active in this assembly constituency from an electoral point of view. Here the situation of rebellion is not for both.
