Bhiwani: The Deputy Commissioner District Election Officer has denied the fake letter going viral on social media regarding Haryana Panchayat Election. He said that in the fake letter going viral on social media, confusion is being spread about the tenure of the election, which is completely rumour, there is no truth in it.
District Election Officer Naresh Narwal said that the tenure of Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and Zilla Parishads will remain the same for five years as before. Correct information related to Panchayati Raj Institutions can be obtained from the website of the State Election Commission, secharyana.gov.in.
DC said that a fake letter is being circulated on social media on behalf of mischievous and anti-social elements, in which it has been said that the tenure of Panchayati Raj institutions should be extended to three years. He said that the State Election Commission has not issued any letter in this regard, this information is completely fake (Panchayati Raj Institutions).
The District Election Officer said that some mischievous element has made a fake letter in the name of the State Election Commission and made it viral on social media. In this letter, the tenure of Panchayati Raj Institutions has been told up to three years.
He said that the tenure of Gram Panchayats, Panchayat Samitis and Zilla Parishad members is only five years, which has been confirmed by the State Election Commission. Along with this, he has appealed to the general public not to pay attention to the rumors being spread on social media. He said that the general public can share information with the Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Haryana, to fact-check any such fake letters.
