In the final group match, Brazil (India vs Brazil) suffered a 0-5 defeat on Monday. The Indian team’s campaign in the World Cup ended with no win (India lost to Brazil) and no goal. Being the host, India got a chance to debut in this top competition of the age group.
India finished last in Group A
Earlier, in Group A matches, the Indian women’s football team had to face defeat against America (0-8) and Morocco (0-3). The team could not score any goal in three matches and finished last in the four-team group without any points. Brazil and America qualified for the quarter finals.
