The ration kept in government cheap galley shops (Ration Dukaan) in district headquarters Pauri is on the verge of being ruined due to dampness. Not only this, sweets and used oil are also gathering dust in many shops in the headquarters. When the administration team conducted raids and surprise inspections, the whole picture came to the fore. 

On the other hand, the security deposit of Sisai and Siddhkhal shops has been confiscated due to non-receipt of the records of the ration shop by the supply officer. On Tuesday, the district administration team conducted raids at different places in the district. A joint team of SDM Pauri Akash Joshi and Pauri Supply Inspector Shailendra Badola raided and inspected a cheap galley shop located on Devprayag Road.

During inspection, excessive sealing was found in the shop. Due to which the ration is reaching the verge of being wasted. While the rate list was missing, the stock register was also not updated. Told that due to lack of cleanliness in the shop, excessive dirt and closure of shutters, food items are getting wasted. On which the SDM instructed to cancel the license of the concerned shop. Whereas surprise inspection was also done in 2 grocery and one sweet shop in Dhara Road and 1 shop in Lower Bazar. During the inspection, sweets, food items were found scattered in the hotel and they were not covered.

Along with this, stale dough was found in the hotel and oil was also found open in the pan. On which the SDM took challan action against them and also warned them not to do so again. On the other hand, District Supply Officer KS Kohli inspected two shops in the remote area of ​​Bironkhal, then it was found that both of them are operating without records. The DSO said that the security deposit of Sisai and Siddhkhal shops has been forfeited due to non-receipt of records.
