Before the civic elections in Uttar Pradesh, once again the parties have started running Muslim cards. Firstly, the Bharatiya Janata Party has played its Muslim card by making the issue of Pasmanda society. Discussions are also being held these days about the survey of unrecognized madrassas of UP.

Lucknow: Before the municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh, once again political parties have started running Muslim cards. Firstly, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has played its Muslim card by making the Pasmanda society an issue. These days the survey of unrecognized madrassas of UP is also being discussed. On one hand, political parties are cooking their political bread on these issues. At the same time, now intellectuals and Ulama associated with the Muslim class are also speaking openly on this.

Maulana Syed Kab Rashidi, who reached Lucknow, raised the issue of the country’s declining economy while addressing the press conference. He said that a large number of youth are roaming unemployed with their degrees. Now the time has come that the youth should not fall in the trap of religion and question the government on the issue of employment. Maulana said that the survey of madrasas is a good step of the government. But, only three percent of Muslim children study in madrassas. If the government really wants to be friendly to Muslims, then it should also conduct a survey of the implementation status of the Sachar Committee report. 97 percent children of Muslim society study in schools and colleges. So what steps will be taken for them? Government should tell its roadmap.

Speaking on BJP’s pasmanda conference, Maulana Syed Kab Rashidi said that there is nothing like forward versus backward among Muslims. Muslims stand far away from caste. Muslims are a minority in the country and should be seen as a minority. BJP wants to do forward versus backward under its agenda. But, nothing is going to happen to that. If the government is holding a conference of the backwards, then it should also tell that what is the road map with the government regarding them, only speech will not work.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has rapidly started making its inroads among the Muslims. Before the municipal elections of UP, many big faces including the government’s Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya attended the Pasmanda Intellectual Conference held in the capital Lucknow on Tuesday. During this, Keshav Prasad Maurya sought cooperation from the Pasmanda Muslims. He attacked the SP, BSP and Congress fiercely.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, who reached Lucknow’s Visvesvaraya auditorium, said that the SP, BSP and Congress used to trick Muslims and only take their votes under the guise of secularism. BJP will work to bring backward Muslims into the mainstream of the society. On the question of giving tickets to Muslims in the civic elections, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that now look ahead what happens.

Ashfaq Saifi, chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Minorities Commission and coming from the Pasmanda society, said that even after 75 years of independence, the Pasmanda society is backward, poor, uneducated and unemployed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh chief Yogi Adityanath have taken care of the people of this society.
