Hyderabad: By-elections are to be held in Munugode in Telangana on November 3 (Munugode by-election). Before that, the Election Commission has removed the returning officer. The Election Commission has taken a decision to this extent to eliminate the confusion regarding the symbol.
The Election Commission asked for three names for the new RO. The Central Election Commission has taken seriously the matter of changing the symbol of Yugatulsi Party candidate Shivakumar in the by-election. The Election Commission objected to the change of symbol.
Soon the appointment orders for the new RO will come. The Central Election Commission, which scrutinized the reports based on the complaint of Yugtulsi’s candidate. According to the complaint, the road roller election symbol was first allotted and then without any information to the election observer, it was replaced by ‘Baby Walker’ symbol. It is said that no information was given to the concerned candidate regarding the change of election symbol.
The Election Commission directed the Chief Electoral Officer of the state to seek an explanation from the Returning Officer as to why the decision to change the symbol was taken.
