Ranchi: Within a week, two massive fire incidents in the country’s coal capital Dhanbad have shocked everyone. Many elders including innocent children were burnt alive in both the incidents of fire. There is an atmosphere of sadness in the whole country regarding these incidents, but the surprising thing is that what are the preparations in Jharkhand regarding fire safety, have there been any irregularities in the apartments which have been given NOC by the fire brigade. Has there been any big scam in giving NOC, is there any investigation being done in this regard, there is no one to tell all this. There is no one to answer questions in the fire headquarters in the whole matter.

ADG said there is no time: IPS officer Suman Gupta, who was once Senior SP of Dhanbad, is currently ADG Fire. On Wednesday, when an attempt was made to talk to him about the Dhanbad fire incident, he refused saying that he did not have time. He also had a heated argument over the phone with several media personnel at the Fire Department’s headquarters in Doranda. However, despite lakhs of efforts, ADG Suman Gupta was not ready for talks.

There was chaos in the fire headquarters: There was chaos in the fire headquarters located in Doranda, Ranchi on Wednesday. ADG Fire and DIG Fire both were present in the office. On the other hand, the rest of the officers of the fire department were busy in preparing a list of what arrangements are there for fire safety in Jharkhand, what vehicles they have, and what types of fire safety equipment the fire department has. . The surprising thing is that all this list should have been updated earlier, but after the two horrific fire incidents in Dhanbad, the fire department has also woken up from sleep. After waking up from sleep, the first department is fixing the papers. Because after such a big fire, it is certain that big questions will arise in this matter, which will be very difficult to answer.

Questions raised on NOC: In fact, multi-storey buildings have been constructed indiscriminately in many districts including Jharkhand’s capital Ranchi, NOC has to be obtained from the fire department for multi-storey buildings. Along with the proper equipments of fire safety, NOC is given by the department only after many types of investigations, but nothing like this happens on the ground. Apartments have been built at many such places in the capital that if a fire breaks out there, even small fire engines will not be able to reach them. In such a situation, after the Dhanbad fire incident, the question of NOC is sure to arise, some people are also preparing to go to the court regarding this matter.
