Delhi’s Bindapur police has arrested an accused while solving the case of theft in the house. The arrested accused turned out to be a friend of the victim’s daughter. The police have recovered the stolen goods from his possession. The accused was already involved in the murder case.
New Delhi: Bindapur police team of Dwarka district disclosed the case of theft of lakhs from a house, in which the thief turned out to be none other than the friend of the victim’s daughter. More than two lakh cash and gold jewelery worth lakhs have been recovered from him. The arrested youth, due to his friendship with the victim’s daughter, often used to visit her house.
DCP Dwarka M. Harshvardhan told that the value of the recovered jewelery is said to be around 11 lakhs. The arrested accused Nikhil is a resident of Vikasnagar Hastsal. Apart from two lakh 11670 rupees, an iPhone, necklace, gold chain, other jewelry has also been recovered from him. On January 28, the police had received information that a theft had taken place in a house. Unidentified thieves have stolen jewelery and cash from the house. On getting the information of the case, the police registered a case and started the investigation.
In the investigation, the police came to know that the lock was not broken in the house where the theft incident took place. Then how did it get stolen? After this, the police took the help of technical surveillance. Then the call details of the victim’s daughter’s number were taken out, then in the investigation it was found that a youth named Nikhil is involved in this incident. He is a friend of the complainant’s daughter, who used to frequent her house.
With the help of technical surveillance, the police trapped Nikhil from Vikas Nagar area and then on his tip, the stolen cash and jewelery were recovered from the house. During interrogation, he told that he used to go to his friend’s house continuously. Meanwhile, seeing the opportunity, he made duplicate keys of the house and the almirah. Then seeing the opportunity, one day he carried out the incident of theft. Along with him, another associate named Yusuf is involved in this incident. Investigation revealed that Nikhil was already involved in the murder case. At present, the police is investigating this matter.
