Hamirpur: Along with diarrhea-affected drinking water schemes in Chief Minister Sukhu’s home constituency, the water of other health blocks has also been found contaminated. This has been revealed in the investigation of Health Department Hamirpur. Health Department Hamirpur had sent samples of the schemes operated under various health sections to the lab located at the Medical College Hamirpur for examination. Investigation has revealed that along with diarrhea-affected drinking water schemes, the water of Sujanpur, Badsar and Taunidevi’s drinking water schemes has also been found contaminated.
In the investigation of the sample, deadly bacteria have been found in the water of Kunah Khad flowing under the sub-division Nadaun. This has been revealed in the sample testing done in the Microbiology Lab of Dr. Radhakrishnan Medical College. In such a situation, now the health department is preparing to send the investigation report to the director of the health department. Which will be sent to Shimla. It is being told that about a dozen water samples have been put in the microbiology lab for examination. These water samples were collected from different places after the outbreak of diarrhea reached about 45 villages under Nadaun.
The department is filling samples in water daily. The report of about five to six samples has reached the District Health Department. Deadly Bactinia has been found in this water, which adversely affects human health. After finding bacteria in the water, now the report will be sent to the Director Health Department. After this further action will be taken in the matter. At the same time, reports of about half a dozen samples are yet to come. The reports of these samples are also awaited.
It is obvious that diarrhea is widespread in the areas under Nadaun. So far, more than one thousand cases of infection have come to the fore. Diarrhea, which reached about 45 villages, gave sleepless nights to the entire administration. The District Health Department had collected water samples from the areas as a precautionary measure. At the same time, four joint teams of the Health Department have also inspected the areas. Teams have done scientific study by going to the areas.

The water of Badsar, Taunidevi, Sujanpur is also contaminated: The water of Badsar, Taunidevi and Sujanpur has also been found contaminated in the water samples collected by the Health Department from various health blocks of the district. The Health Department has informed the Block Development Officers about this and has given instructions to get the prescribed criteria fulfilled. At the same time, the administration has also been informed about the poor quality of water. It is possible that in the future, water supply will have to be stopped in the concerned areas also, because it is necessary to correct the quality of water.
The number of diarrhea victims reached 1007: In the cases of diarrhea spread in the sub-division Nadaun, two people got infected on Friday. In such a situation, the total number of infected has increased to 1007. The relief is that most of the infected have been cured. The figure of those recovering is 968. Whereas, 39 people are still infected. The department has already screened 57 villages. Four infected are under treatment in hospitals.
