Sensation spread in the area due to the incident of rape of two girls aged 8 and 10 in Kundli police station area, Sonipat. The police had seen these girls roaming in the area under suspicious circumstances on Thursday evening. On this, the police brought them to the police station and inquired about them, but the girls have not yet been able to reveal their identity and address.

Giving information about the matter, ACP Vipin Kadian said that yesterday the police recovered these girls under suspicious circumstances, the medical examination conducted before sending them to the children’s home confirmed rape. The police have started investigation by registering a case under various sections including the POCSO Act.
