Traders across the country, including Delhi, showed eagerness to present this year’s budget on behalf of the Union Finance Minister. In view of this, on the suggestion of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), on February 1, on the budget day, arrangements were made to watch the budget live by putting big screens in public places in major cities of all the states of the country. This event was held simultaneously at more than a thousand places across the country including Delhi.
CAT’s National General Secretary Praveen Khandelwal told that in the capital Delhi, this program was done in collaboration with Sanjeev Mehra, president of Delhi’s famous market Khan Market Traders Association, in Khan Market itself, where everyone saw the live telecast of the Union Budget by installing a big LED screen. . CAT had also invited top leaders of all major business organizations of Delhi, retail experts, economics experts, chartered accountants, leaders of small scale industries, transport, farmers, women entrepreneurs, start-ups, consumers etc. to see the budget. .
CAT national president BC Bhartia said that the business class has high hopes from this year’s budget. While reduction in GST rates is expected in various localities, on the other hand, One Nation – One License is expected to be announced on the lines of One Nation – One Tax. He said that all the laws related to business were expected to be reviewed and incentives would be given for adopting the digital system, which became possible.
He also said that the announcement of some special incentive scheme for traders and MSME sector will give great relief to small entrepreneurs. The allocation of nine thousand crore funds for the Credit Guarantee Scheme will be a relief. Promoting employment through business in rural areas will stop migration and simplifying the KYC process will provide relief to all sections of people.
