On receiving complaints of corruption in MNREGA in Bharatpur, the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad conducted a surprise inspection. During this, he parked his vehicles on the way and checked the works from the bike.
Bharatpur / Kaman. On receiving continuous complaints in MNREGA works, the Chief Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad arrived on a surprise inspection by bike. He reached Nonera village of Kaman Panchayat Samiti area. The number of laborers found less in the MNREGA work going on here. This surprise inspection created a stir among the sarpanchs of Kaman Panchayat Samiti area. Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Srinidhi BT said that complaints were being received continuously from this area. During the public hearing, a complaint was received from Gram Panchayat Nounera. When we inspected here, many flaws were found.
The Chief Executive Officer said that out of five different MNREGA works going on in Nonera village, three works were checked. The number of workers was found less as compared to other days. Regarding which clarification has been sought by giving notice to the development officer of Panchayat Samiti, Virendra Bundel. Srinidhi said that other works going on in the Gram Panchayat have also been inspected. The lack of quality has been found in the gravel roads. For which instructions have been given to do quality work and work by pressing the soil with road roller.
Most laborers in Kaman Panchayat Samiti: Zilla Parishad CEO Srinidhi BT told that in comparison to Bharatpur district, maximum number of laborers are working in MNREGA work in Kaman Panchayat Samiti. While the number of workers in 17 gram panchayats is zero. Complaints of corruption are being received continuously during MNREGA work, regarding which the Gram Panchayats will be inspected from time to time. Along with this, a team of district level officers will be formed and sent to the gram panchayats. So that during the MNREGA work, the workers can get its full benefit.
Inspection done by reaching by bike: Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Srinidhi BT stopped his vehicles on the way and took the bike and reached to inspect the MNREGA work. After this, he collected complete information from the workers. After the inspection, instructions were given to do quality work by holding a meeting of the sarpanch and officers in the Kaman Panchayat Samiti office.
