San Francisco: Tech giant Microsoft has introduced new features in its Teams Premium powered by OpenAI GPT 3.5 to make meetings artificial intelligence (AI)-powered . The company said in a blogpost that the new features are aimed at making meetings more intelligent, personalized and secure – be it face-to-face, large meetings, virtual appointments or webinars. ‘With a 252 percent increase in weekly time spent in meetings in the first two years of the pandemic, we needed to find ways to work smarter, not harder.’ With the ‘Intelligent Recap’ feature, users will get automatically generated meeting notes, recommended tasks and personalized highlights.
This will help users to save time on reviewing meeting recordings and this feature will be available in the second quarter of this year. ‘AI-generated chapters’ will break up meetings into sections, making it easier for users to choose the most relevant content. It is now available for ‘Powerpoint Live Meeting Recording’. The company said, ‘Intelligent Recap will automatically generate meeting chapters based on the meeting transcript.’ Now, users can also use personalized timeline markers that will allow them to ‘call out when you join or leave a meeting in a meeting recording, so you can quickly click and hear what you missed.’ Timeline markers will also expand to include when the user’s name was mentioned and when the screen was shared.
